The change in the current business landscape due to COVID-19 post-Lockdown has resulted in a large number of individuals working from the home office instead of going into the work environment on a daily basis. As a result, I have launched a new scheme comprising of Yoga and Fitness to help enhance employees’ well-being and general health and fitness at home.
Since starting my business ‘Get Up and Keep Going’ in 2019, I wanted to share my skills with stressed and anxious business people and individuals who wanted to improve and enhance their life. From April 2020 It became more apparent that less people would be returning to the workplace in the usual way and I quickly realised that many more people would now be working from home long-term. This means it’s very easy to let your health suffer and be affected by the situation and so we all need to be extra careful.

Alongside running Yoga classes around the area of Greater Manchester at Get Up, Keep Going, I also deliver Yoga breaks in Yorkshire and the beautiful Lake District.
The lockdown, has meant we have had to adapt to new ways of working and I have successfully delivered Yoga and fitness classes on-line and these are continuing. You can view the current Get Up, Keep Going online timetable.
EMPLOYEE WELLBEING
Alongside the yoga classes I am also offering wellbeing services – either in person (with social distancing) or online – to companies who have a variety of staff remote working or home-working.
It’s really so important to look after the health of your staff and fortunately more employers recognise the benefits and are undertaking procedures to do this. Working from home is great and can certainly improve an individual's quality of life but, people can also quickly become quite isolated too.

Making time for a regular de-stressing session and possibly a chat about someone’s wellbeing can make a huge difference. It can also help performance and productivity levels as people return to work refreshed and feeling better.
At Get Up Keep Going – I love the inter-action of working with groups and the online classes and the combination have worked really well. We’re all a lot more prepared to work out with online help now and more of us are incorporating this into our daily routine.
