1 March 2021

“Eternal Spring is in my heart” and I am looking forward to the birds chirping, seeing the bulbs pop through the earth and the flowers burst through with radiant colour. The great news is that it is officially March and that means it’s not much longer until we will be feeling the warmth of the sun on our skin.

This is a time for us to open our hearts to the brightness of Spring and open our hearts to new opportunities and new beginnings.

Following the new #lockdown guidelines, regular classes will soon be back, 1-1 session and monthly retreats.

During the lockdown, I have been taking part in a number of Network sessions via Zoom and have been a guest speaker at a few events. My presentation was about being the best You, you can possibly be? Whilst having the catch up at the end of the sessions, it really surprised me the number of people I came across that said I would love to do Yoga?

When I asked why they didn’t or hadn’t given it a go they really couldn’t give me a good enough reason/explanation. They shrug their shoulders and say “it’s a women thing" or "it’s a spiritual thing" or "I am not bendy or fit, I can’t stretch" etc, etc, etc…………

Add our previous blog – New to Yoga from website.

The barriers of Yoga are the fear of failing, it's not competitive enough or it's painful?

The benefits of Yoga – You can overcome injury/illness it helps with stress, worry, anxiety, sleep problems and flexibility. It boosts metabolism, strengthens the body, stabilizes emotions and improves concentration.

For me, Yoga was a life line, I was under a lot of pressure in a corporate job, a single Mum and under a lot of stress and anxiety. So, in 1997 I attended my first class and have never looked backed. It has helped me with back problems. Click the link to see how it’s helped so many others as well. (link here to testimonials from website)

If you do have back problems or are stiff or injured and start yoga give it at least 6 weeks and you will definitely notice a difference.  Yoga poses can be challenging at the beginning but eventually you will make friends with the poses and they will eventually become more bearable as your body becomes more understandable to the new positions you are putting it in.

If you are going to try it – do it for you. Open your mind, be kind to yourself, stick with it for at least 6 weeks. Enjoy.

What have you got to loose give it a go free in your living room. Link again www.sharonbailey-getupkeepgoing.co.uk/membership

2020 has been the year we’ve all had to adapt and develop, as individuals, as families and as a community and business. I have been inspired by our ability to face the challenges this year has brought to each and every one of us. We have all had to embrace lots of new ways to […]

Why is Mental Health Important for Overall Health?

According to the Mayo Clinic, mental health is our overall wellness in terms of how we think, and regulate our feelings and behaviours. When people experience a significant disturbance in the way they function, psychologically they may be suffering from poor mental health. What many do not realize is that when we struggle without mental health it can have a notable knock-on effect in our aspects of out lives. Conditions such as depression, anxiety and chronic stress can damage us in more ways than simply mental anguish. This is why it is vital to pay close attention to our mental health.

Haybergill Centre Yoga Retreat, November 2022

Thoughts about what's in store, apprehension about not knowing everyone or anybody, finances, relationships, or just a desire to achieve a […]
